researchers, test new ideas

Linda Lang
Prospect Researcher

"I think APRA MO-KAN is a
great resource for
networking for new and
experienced researchers.
The mentoring program can
get a new researcher
started on the right path
with the right resources.
When I first started in
research it was a comfort
and great help knowing I
could call any of the
members of APRA MO-KAN
for assistance on how to
find something or just to
ask for some advice on a
particular situation.  I'm
always available to try to
give that kind of support
back to our organization."
Lori Blalock
Director of Dev. Research
KU Endowment Association

Becoming a member of
APRA MOKAN was the
greatest help to my
transition to development
research.  As a new
researcher, I quickly found
that I needed training,
continuing education, and
timely feedback when I had
questions and concerns.
APRA MOKAN fit the bill - I
was assigned a mentor
within a short time of
becoming a member, and I
attended the annual
conference, a step which
provided a wealth of
needed information I
couldn't receive as the lone
researcher in my small
development shop.  Any
time I need guidance on
prospect research issues,
my mentor and other
members are there to help.
 The regional gatherings
provide tremendous
networking venues and
great, cost-efficient learning
opportunities.
